Portuguese is Difficult

It looks like I may have another trip to Sao Paolo coming up towards the end of month or early August. The project going on down there needs some help and we may take a SWAT approach and send 3 of us down in a show of force. It's a huge deal and we need to convince the customer that we're serious about it.

Every time I travel now, I feel like (and my bosses feel like) I'm not supposed to be doing it. My job is really intended to be more administrative, but when you're a 1-man team, I'm not sure how you balance "running" things and actually having to do them yourself in order to make sure they're done right (or at all).

The nice thing is that I have a good friend down there that I'll get to see again, and that definitely cheers me up.

Also, the food there is awesome. Seriously. Much of the food down there is the best I've ever had (pizza, cheese, meat, wow). This is my friend Ten and his fiancee (from my trip in May), and a sizzling pile of meat and fried polenta. (picture taken on a camera borrowed from my mom)

If I go again, I wish M could come with me, but travel is just too expensive. Sigh.
