Detour

There's a label on the car that says something about "Dieses". This frightens us a bit because "dieses" sounds like "diesel" and we wonder if this label could mean either "this vehicle takes ONLY diesel" or "does NOT take diesel". After breaking out the babelfish we learn that the car is equipped with summer tires. No worries there.

Adam has planned us a lovely route to take us along the Dutch border. We start going south and realize none of us have eaten lunch. We decide to pop off to the Netherlands to find some food.

We head towards Niederlangen and are almost there when we realize that it is in fact in Germany.

We go back to the highway and see signs for Bourtange (NL), which is not very far away.

We pull off the highway, and are immediately in some pretty rural country.
