Stomping Ground

After dinner at my parents house we walked across the street to the park. I grew up with this park as my front yard and am just USED to having big parks around whenever I want. I remember playing baseball, frisbee, football, tennis, and soccer, and at the age of 16, carrying a hatchet up to the woodpile with some friends to grab logs for caber tossing. I know the trees that I used to climb around in, and where I'd go with my headphones to listen to Metallica, and the circus still sets up in the parking lot.

So much happened in this park, and I just don't think about that stuff much. It's nice to be reminded.

For growing up in NY, it's not a bad way to go.

I even found a tree to do some pull-ups.
