Favorite Books

My parents went to sleep, and I stayed up browsing the shelves a bit, and I frequently do when I visit. In addition to all my old Star Trek technical manuals and several role playing game missions, I saw these books by David Macaulay that are still some of the coolest books I've read.

They're for children, and each one explains the process of constructing something awesome, like Pyramids, Castles, Cathedrals, and Roman Cities. Seriously, if you know any children remotely interested in how things work, Amazon this stuff right now.

Good books to know, since one of Julia's favorite TV shows right now is How it's made
