I'm definitely loving these radio towers, and the mix of new buildings combined with old ones, and communist-era ones.

Although there is still much that is run-down here, it's nothing like other places I've seen in former Eastern Bloc areas. I don't know if it's the money that Germany poured into here after reunification, or that East Berlin was always a crown jewel of the communist union, but things seem a lot better here than other places. Prague might be an exception, but this place doesn't have that overly tourist-ed, Times Square feel to it.
