Last Ones
Although I'm definitely done with drinks for the night, the others decide to grab one last round. We wander over to a different street where there are beer places set up. They're not storefronts, but round bars out on the sidewalk with umbrellas. At the end of the night, these are all broken down and stored away, which we see them doing around midnight.
Jens has told us that everyone stays out late, and that things often don't wrap up until the wee morning hours. Unlike a lot of US cities, there isn't a mandatory closing hour. We of course take this to mean that Jens is an authority on all German law, and ask him lots and lots of questions, which he answers with steadily decreasing levels of humor.
I'm getting exhausted, so before the guys have to carry me home, we get ready to walk back to the hotel. Three girls come up to us and after learning that we don't speak German, one of them talks to us in very broken English and asks us if we want to get drinks. Her friend is getting married. They're all wearing the same shirts, with a picture of the bride and groom on it. This is apparently a tradition during the bachelor/bachelorette parties, to ask random strangers for money for drinks. Tim gives them his change, and we head back to the hotel.
There's three of us sharing the room. I take the floor, and with a few chair cushions and a blanket, I'm out like a light.

And the bride-to-be looked at Tim like he was insane for giving her a handful of change.
Killepitsch has its revenge, apparently taking its anger at Jason's disparaging remarks out on Tim in the form of drunken faux pas.
