Franziskaner
We go to a restaurant that has "traditional" German food.
I order some pretzels (duh) and split a meat platter with Tim. It had every kind of sausage, some pork cutlets, lots of kraut, and some other mystery stuff. I should have got a picture of that, I guess.
Also, the beer of choice? Lowenbrau (with umlauts, pronounced Loevenbroi, which I had never considered). This was somewhat disappointing. I wanted some crazy local beer, and THAT was it.
So I went up to the bathroom and the doors were labeled "Zub" (or Bub, it was hard to read) and "Madl". I know the usual H and D, but this was new. Rather than ask, I whipped out the BlackBerry and googled "Madl German girl", since I had a suspicion that would be correct, and was validated.
Go BlackBerry.
The COO stopped by and had a drink with us which was also nice. He made fun of me for using ICQ all the time and I may have said something about taking over the company, but I think everyone had a good sense of humor.
We're out until midnightish and I collapse shortly after getting into the room.
