Bleah Castle

So, we passed over an old bridge and wandered back towards the center of town and I started to feel sick. Maybe it was the frischkase?

I raced into the first restaurant I could find. When I got back, Adam ordered some food (sausage plate) and I ate a pretzel. I think I've lived on pretzels today. Of course, the place was the most touristy thing ever, where everyone wears the traditional uniforms. Ugh. Plus, they seemed ticked that I didn't order anything except water. Also, the pretzels were in the bread basket they put out, but they charged you for each item you ate from the basket. Pretty sneaky.

Easy for them to say, bunch of non bad-cheese eating people.

When I felt up for walking again, we headed up to the castle. You had to pay for tours, but we could wander the grounds. This is where the Holy Roman Emperors stayed.

Wait a minute. Has the Hapsburgs Revenge come back for more? See, in Austria, a few years ago, I may have made fun of the (mostly) Hapsburg Crown Jewels by calling this the "Holy Roman Bowling Trophy". M also may or may not have called a supposed relic of the cross "bullshit". Anyway, I later got very very sick (so did M) and largely missed Prague. Ok, I'm sorry Hapsburgs. Please leave me alone. Your crown jewels are awesome.

Anyways, the castle was great. They've even turned the old emperors section into a youth hostel. How cool is that? Not the youth themselves, they were loud and annoying, but the IDEA of it.

This is what the town looked like from up here.
