Catching Up
We headed to the main building, "registered" and caught up with other friends who had already arrived.
To avoid having everyone standing around and taking pictures the whole time instead of actually doing anything, you have to have a "Press Pass" to use a camera. We make sure that M has one.
K and D's friends and family are doing all the work of the weekend, including some ridiculously awesome gourmet cooking. K and D are amazing in the kitchen, and so are a lot of people they know.
Here, I'm helping J and Q on dish detail. I figured I would get it out of the way right up front. There's something about a serious kitchen, complete with industrial dishwasher and high-powered water hose that is just so hardcore.
Once the dishes were done, we headed into the woods to a campfire, where everyone made s'mores, and sang some songs (someone had written an official camp song as well), and told ghost stories. BZ's story was especially awesome. Damn sketch comedians and their crazy delivery skills.
It was a great time, but it had been a very long day, and we got sleepy. B,D, and J had been put in their own bunk (what with the kid and all), so rather than stay in our assigned bunk, we crashed with them instead to keep them company.
