Venue

It eventually stopped raining and we wandered to the stage. The venue was small, only 6000 people. M had bought seats on craigslist, but you could also buy lawn space as some of these people with umbrellas and canopies had done.

On a day like today, the seats are drier, I think.

There was an area of sponsor-type tents talking about environmental things like composting and worm-bins. The trash receptacles had recycling and composting as well.

The food court area has 7 different kinds of sausage, kebabs, bbq, and crab cakes. It's not cheap ($7 or so), so I'm glad we already had our picnic.

We're also on the younger side of the demographic, but not awkwardly so. This place is crazy civilized. Is this what "lighter" music shows are usually like? Is this what "lighter" shows in the northwest or like? No one has visible tattooing or shaved heads, or Flogging Molly t-shirts.
