We learn that the checkpoint was the crossing area for diplomats and the like.

Here it is as we cross from west to east.

I like that you just walk through it. There's nothing stopping the traffic on the road, so you have to be careful and watch for cars.

It's just there. I know it's very touristy, but it also seems very real and I like it.
